These terms explain how our services work and what you can expect from us. Please review them before submitting any application.
Terms and Conditions for our services and applications
1. Introduction
Welcome to Medical Study Abroad (“MSA,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and services, including application support for educational institutions (“Schools”).
2. Our Role
MSA acts solely as an independent facilitator. We do not operate academic programs, influence admissions, guarantee acceptance, or provide legal/immigration advice. All decisions are made by Schools or relevant authorities.
3. Applications
You apply using official School forms. MSA provides guidance, but you are responsible for accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of all documents.
4. Payments
4.1 Tuition & Fees
Payments for tuition, deposits, and School-related fees are made directly to Schools unless otherwise stated.
4.2 Payments to MSA
If a School requires payment through MSA, this will be clearly indicated.
4.3 Price & Currency Changes
All pricing is based on School-provided information and may change due to exchange rates or School updates.
4.4 Advisory Fee / Service Fee
MSA charges an advisory fee (“Service Fee”) for guidance and support during the application process. This fee covers MSA’s advisory services only and does not include:
- School tuition or School application fees
- Visa fees
- Translation, certification, or mailing services
- Travel or insurance expenses
The Service Fee is not a payment to the School and does not influence admissions decisions.
4.5 Scope of Advisory Services
The Service Fee includes:
- General guidance about programs and Schools
- Assistance understanding admission requirements
- Support completing School application forms
- Review of documents for completeness
- General visa information (non-legal)
- Pre-departure support
The Service Fee does not include:
- Legal, immigration, or financial advice
- Editing or rewriting academic documents
- Representation before Schools or government authorities
- Guaranteed support outside standard business hours
4.6 No Guarantees
Payment of the Service Fee does not guarantee:
- Admission to any School
- Visa approval
- Placement in a program or housing
- Scholarships or financial aid
- Accelerated processing times
All decisions are made solely by Schools and immigration authorities.
4.7 Refund Policy
Unless otherwise stated in writing, the Service Fee is non-refundable, including when:
- The applicant is not accepted by the School
- The visa application is denied
- The applicant withdraws
- The School changes program conditions or availability
- Delays occur due to external or force majeure events
Refunds may only be considered if MSA fails to provide the advisory services described in Section 4.5. Refunds are discretionary and may be partial. This policy complies with Swedish and EU consumer law.
4.8 Payment Terms
The Service Fee must be paid before advisory services are provided. Non-payment may result in suspension of services.
4.9 No Chargebacks
By paying the Service Fee, you acknowledge that advisory services begin promptly and agree not to initiate chargebacks for services already provided.
5. Insurance
You are responsible for obtaining adequate travel, health, and personal liability insurance.
6. Visa & Immigration
MSA provides general information but does not submit visa applications or guarantee visa approval. Immigration authorities make all decisions independently.
7. Additional Costs
Shipping or courier fees may apply for physical document requirements. Optional services are billed separately.
8. Program Information
Program data is supplied by Schools. MSA is not responsible for inaccuracies or changes. Applicants should verify final details directly with the School.
9. No Guarantees
MSA does not guarantee program availability, housing, refunds, academic outcomes, or processing times.
10. Limitation of Liability (EU)
To the fullest extent permitted by Swedish and EU law:
- MSA is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- MSA is not responsible for decisions made by Schools, immigration authorities, or local institutions
- MSA is not liable for delays caused by external events
Total liability is limited to the amount paid directly to MSA. Mandatory EU protections apply where required.
11. Force Majeure
MSA is not responsible for delays due to events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest, or transportation disruptions.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify MSA for losses arising from inaccurate information, misuse of services, or violation of these Terms, subject to EU consumer protections.
13. After Arrival
Academic, housing, and local matters must be handled directly with the School or relevant authorities. MSA assists where reasonably possible.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Mandatory EU consumer rights may also apply.
15. Dispute Resolution
Disputes should first be addressed through negotiation. If unresolved, they shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Sweden under the Swedish Arbitration Act, unless EU consumer law dictates otherwise.
16. Severability
If any provision is invalid, remaining provisions remain in effect.
17. Updates
MSA may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of services signifies acceptance of updated Terms.
